Haven't Felt Bloggy

For some reason I just haven't been in the mood to blog in the past week or so....just kind of enjoyed reading everyone else's posts. So, I will just be random and post what's been going on.
We had Reis' first birthday this past weekend. It was Alan's family reunion also so that's why we just did it over there. Mrs. Sofa did wonderful on the cake and it was so tasty. Even the fondant icing was good. I was wondering what it would taste like because our wedding cake icing was horrible! So, thank you again Mrs. Sofa...I really appreciate it!!
My friend Mary Beth is coming down today and we are going to do the hibachi thing and then check out the Hard Rock. No, I am not taking my child to the Hard Rock...got a babysitter for a little while. I've never played slots or anything so I'm excited to get my gamble on!
My husband's office is having Hawaiian shirt day today....How Office Space is that? It makes me laugh to think about it. I keep playing that one scene in my head from the movie. He went to Target yesterday and tried to find the least tackiest one....it's actually not too bad.
Anyway, am glad to be able to get out of the house tonight and be an adult...have felt caged this week:) Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

What a nerd!!

"eis" and "utus"

These are the two phrases I hear everyday all day. I have come to the conclusion that he is saying Reis and Brutus or at least that's what I tell myself. It is the cutest thing but for real now, Brutus is WAY harder to say than "ma-ma," and I have only heard that a couple times. I keep repeating it so maybe one day it will stick.

Cowboy Reis

This is what happens when we travel to the Panhandle....Reis gets all gussied up in camo and a cowboy hat. He is having a John Deere birthday party so I guess his outfit fits the purpose. Memaw wanted some pictures for his party which I thought turned out cute. Alan bought him some cowboy boots and wranglers for his birthday. I am feeling a bit outnumbered with all the redneck gear so I may have to go and purchase him some Sevens or True Religion jeans to balance it out. My sister and I always joke about that...every little man needs some jeans to make his butt look cute...heck, they work for me:)

We Don't Waste Cookies in the Suskey Household

It's funny how I can cook bbq pork in the crock pot all day, cut up fresh strawberries, and feed him whatever else I can think of, but it all somehow ends up on the floor or in his high chair. But, do you think that one crumb of cookie gets on the floor or in his high chair? Heck no! I must say he gets it honestly and yes, he does eat more than just cookies. He just wastes the "real" food and not the sweets.
Note to Mrs. Sofa...I am positively sure your cake will be annihilated for baby's first birthday:)

Bridezillas

Am watching it now...they have such white trash on there but it's so entertaining. Nothing like standing in the parking lot talking smack about the bride and bringing your own beer to the wedding like the mother of the groom did....classy!

Air brush tan

I went while I was up in Tallahassee last week and had it done. I felt a little weird stripping down in front of the lady, but I'm sure she sees butts all the time. Anyway, it is amazing and looks awesome. I already was kind of tan but this made a ton of difference and it won't give you wrinkles. Now, I just need to find a place down here that does it for that cheap. I recommend it to any of you ladies looking for a little color.
I went up to see everyone in Tallahassee because Alan had to go to San Francisco for business. I told him not to come back without a present...only jokingly. Well, he sure did a good job. Some lady conned him into a facial spa package with some facial peel made from whatever they managed to get out of the Dead Sea. He spent way to much money, but I did enjoy my peel last night as a nice end to my day.
