Another thought

I haven't been watching Big Brother from the beginning but have for the past 3 or so seasons. Every season I think to myself there's no way this season could top the last with drama, but it always does. I love it! And, Michelle and her mouth are so annoying...go back to the Bronx or wherever with that accent...it's annoying. I've said my peace and shall go now.

Husband knows how to work it

So, as I said yesterday husband decided to go to the gun show(every time I say this, I think of Anchor Man) and made a purchase. I absolutely HATE guns and am terrified of them. I have no idea where he plans on keeping this thing, but it won't be anywhere near me and my baby. Anyway, to suffice my bitching I was given the green light to go shopping...not complaining now. So I took my happy butt to International Plaza and got some blinged out Ed Hardy sunglasses. They are big, obnoxious, and sparkly so I am happy:)

Peace and quiet

Alan took Reis and went to a gun show in Tampa...maybe it's the redneck in him or the army man he still is, but I don't care momma gets some ME time. It is NICE!! Anne and Jed are coming this weekend and I pray it doesn't rain. This will be our second attempt at Busch Gardens so hopefully we can avoid the rain. It's open at night now so I thought it would be neat to go. No rain, no rain I say. We also got pre-approved for our loan so I am soooo relieved. Everything pretty much depends on that obviously so that's good. Looks like we will sign our contract in September and they will start building it. It will work out perfectly if everything goes according to plan as far as our lease being up and the townhouse built. Sigh of relief on that. Well, I am off to enjoy my quiet time although it will include my vacuum cleaner. The joys of being a mom:)

Soooo...I did something a little crazy today

I got a tattoo on my wrist. I got Reis' name tattooed on my inner wrist. Maybe it was momma gone wild or something, but I just decided I wanted to do it. It didn't hurt too bad but after giving birth, nothing hurts in comparison to that.

I need sippy cup help

Reis has been transitioning to a sippy cup, but I can't find any that don't leak. I have been using the Nuk brand with a soft spout which he likes, but anytime he throws it down the top gets loose and milk spills out. He doesn't like the hard top ones yet and of course we have Nascar cups that daddy insisted he have. Any suggestions moms? I don't want my carpet and car to smell of nasty milk.

Money can't buy happiness but it can sure get a man out of the dog house

As mentioned in my earlier post, husband met his friend, Billy, at the cigar bar which is not even a mile from our house. Reis was already down and I was in my pj's so I figured why not let him blow off a little steam and have man time. Well, he got home a lot later then he was supposed to and caused a ruckus when he got in, but I won't go into details. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper this morning. I got Reis up and decided to head to the gym. I looked in husband's wallet in hopes that he might have a little cash I could steal. To my surprise, there was a $100 in there. When he finally pulled his lazy butt out of bed, I asked why in the heck he had all that money and he said he went by the atm on the way home so the Suskey peace talk in the morning would go a lot smoother. Smart man indeed...I was no longer angry and took my white, mommy butt and went and tanned on husband's dollar. Sometimes, a little sun and some unexpected cash makes things all better.

A little premature but hopefully it will work out

I have always been one of those people that doesn't want to say anything until I know things are set in stone but I think everything is going to work out perfectly. Alan is at the cigar bar around the corner so I am in the bed watching horrible reality TV and thought I might blog a bit. We have found some really nice townhouses in pre-construction and I think we are going to sign a contract on one. I am really excited because it seems like for the length of our marriage we have been tied down to the military and their way of life and then moving down here and not knowing what to expect or where the nice places to live are located. So, we came across this through some friends who have already signed contracts and decided to check it out. Come to find out, we could really do this and our mortgage would be the same as what we are paying now...hello? Why not? The great thing about pre-construction is that we can pick and choose what we want the house to look like...ie....granite counter tops...nice. I guess I can't say all things military are bad because the housing company has a program called Hometown Heroes that will give $4700 towards upgrades on top of the $4000 the company already offers for new home buyers. They also pay all closing costs if using their lender which is awesome. I guess the lull in the housing market has it's advantages for those looking to purchase their first home. So, in October we plan on signing the contract if all goes well and have a plan for when our lease comes up here. I think I have officially hit "grown up" stage when looking at refrigerators and cabinets makes me excited. Hopefully all will go well and we can finally have our home.
